Kathy I love your new assessment of him. I have witnessed many say the same thing or something similar. Many of them are saying "Where have I been I love Steven Tyler!" or "Why did I judge this man before without knowing him?" etc. I have always loved the man, I have been a very huge fan for over 25 yrs so I knew he would bring something special to AI this year. I am so happy that others can see what I have liked about this guy all along. He is a very real person, quirks and all, he is no angel but he doesn't profess to be. I find his honesty shocking at times but very impressive.

I've been waiting, patiently, for your take on Steven Tyler being on American Idol.
I have never been much of a fan of his - but from what I've seen of him on AI - I'm loving him! What a wonderful, quirky, rock star!
